I’m a fan of most MAC mascara products. When I saw that they were introducing a new mascara I knew I had to run out and get it. I purchased the new MAC Instacurl Lash Mascara at my local Nordstrom store. This mascara is available in only Instablack shade at this time. The retail price is $23 for .38 ounces. It’s making its debut exclusively at Nordstrom stores and MAC.
This mascara is described as follows:
“It curls your lashes upon application, holds all day and boosts your look with plenty of oomph. This customizable curved brush fits every eye shape, hugging your lashes from corner to corner, while a quick twirl of the wand provides style, volume and length.”
The wand in this mascara is very intriguing. The brush is the plastic type. It’s slightly oversized. When you twist the end of the wand the brush bends, curls or curves. This is supposed to be personalized to match each person’s individual eye shape.

Verdict: I think the pictures above speak for themselves! My lashes went from nearly nonexistent to “wow” with this mascara. It definitely provided a bit of curl along with a lot of volume and length. I’m still working on figuring out how much to curve the brush to get it to fit my eye shape since I’m used to using straight mascara wands. I didn’t really see a huge difference when I used the brush straight vs curved.
I didn’t experience any flaking throughout the day. The curl lasted from morning until late evening. The mascara is easy to remove with any of the many different eye makeup removers that I used. At $23 this mascara is a bit expensive. All things considered, the MAC Instacurl Mascara is a winner to me and I highly recommend it.

I’m super impressed with the difference. The wand is so interesting. I have to go to the mall on Friday so I’ll try to go to the MAC store if I can find a parking space.

Ooh, I definitely want this! I know a lot of people aren’t fans of MAC mascara, but I’ve been really happy with the few I’ve tried. I will certainly have to add this to my next order.

The shape of the mascara is just different and unique. This is giving an awesome look in your eyes. It is looking very comfort and easy to use. I just loved it.
